The composer Rentaro Taki lived here from 1891 to 1894 while his father, a civil servant, was working in Taketa. The house was bought by Taketa City after the war. The house and its garden were restored and turned into a museum about his life and work. The exhibition includes a soundscape of the local noises he would have heard as a child.

Open 9:00-17:00, Closed from December 29th to January 3rd.
